When were you enrolled in Upward Bound?
I believe I was enrolled around 96-98

How did participating in Upward Bound benefit you?
I was able to experience college living along with college preparatory classes. No one else was offering a program like this.

What academic path did you take after leaving high school?
I majored in Computer Science at Norfolk State University

What are you currently involved in (academic, professional, etc)?
Right now I am currently pursuing three additional Microsoft certifications. I have already completed a few others. I am also looking forward to going back to school for a second Masters degree

What do you do for fun?
I love spending time with my family. I also love to skate and bowl.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years I hope to own my own consulting firm or work for the FBI or Security Service as an IT Security Specialist.

What advice do you have for current Upward Bound students?
I would definitely tell them to take advantage of all the program has to offer. It was a stepping stone for me and I wouldn’t be the same without it. It may be a challenge at first because you feel like your missing out during the summer. However, once it’s all over you will feel like you’ve accomplished a lot.
